For instance, when rugby football club Saracens’ groundshare arrangement with Watford ended, they had to find a new home...and do it quickly!
They found it at Barnet Copthall Stadium. They then had 38 weeks to turn the old ground into a stunning new £20m 10,000-seater stadium renamed Allianz Park. It is the first time that the Saracens have had a home of their own!
Eric Wright was the main contractor on the redevelopment, which used a large amount of precast concrete throughout. Experience of similar projects helped secure Bison’s involvement.
Said Eric Wright Operations Director Jonathon Raynor, “One of the big reasons why Bison was chosen was the quality of its products’ finish and its quick delivery times. Saracens’ Chief Executive Ed Griffiths was very passionate about making sure the stadium looked as good as possible for the fans.”
